TENNIS COACHING

Throughout this year the students in years 3-6 will be participating in a tennis coaching program. The program is organized by the Kids Tennis Foundation and the coach is provided by a local club.
This operates in normal school hours, there is no cost to parents and each session is supervised by a classroom teacher. During Terms 1& 2 6K and 4/5 R participated and this term3/4 H will have their turn




Since the start of this term grade 6k on Wednesdays have been learning how to play tennis. On Wednesdays at 10:15 Grade 6K makes their way to the basketball court where we meet our tennis coach.

His name is Valoja Illangasinghe. He teaches other kids how to play tennis at the Dandenong tennis club. He is a very good coach. He’s nice and funny. When we learn how to play tennis he gives our class cool tennis racquets.
Once we have our tennis racquets we pair up with a partner and do exercises. I enjoy having tennis here at Oakwood Park Primary School. It is a lot of fun. We do serves and practise our passing skills. I reckon all of the other classes will like it too.
